This 12-year old specially abled boy’s cover of Eminem’s song redefines passion for music

 

Osteogenesis Imperfecta is a rare and incurable disease which causes bones in the body to become extremely fragile right from birth. The disease is so dangerous that even a firm handshake can break a bone.

Sparsh Shah, a 12-year old boy living in America suffering from this disease recently uploaded a cover of the Eminem song ‘Not Afraid’ on Youtube which has already accumulated more than 500,000 views.  Garnering universal appreciation, the video was even tweeted by Eminem himself. Trained in Hindustani Classical and American vocal music, Sparsh regularly performs stage shows under the name Purhythm.

 Even after suffering from 125 fractures in his life, the spirit of Sparsh and his conviction for singing remains undeterred. The Optimist Citizen salutes his passion and wishes him luck for his future endeavors.
