Arjun Vaidya, the 6th generation of Dr Vaidya left his lucrative job at an investment firm to bring back Ayurveda’s long lost legacy
Hailing from a family that had a history of working in Ayurveda since the 1850s, Arjun Vaidya was often intrigued by what the Sanskrit inscriptions of the secret family formulations had in store. His grandfather, a revered physician in Ayurveda had more than 300 odd patients visiting him every day for consultation in his small clinic in Bombay. From old to young, poor to rich, his grandfather treated thousands of patients every year all for free. Seeing all this while growing up, Arjun had a firm belief in the richness of the country’s 5000-year-old science. To add to it, Ayurveda treatment cured his chronic juvenile bronchitis, fueling in him a desire to let the world know how powerful the age-old culture of Indian Medicine is.
