When a businessman decided to fund the education of children of all the Uri Martyrs

While the entire country mourned with the scarred families of the Uri martyrs, Mahesh Savani, a businessman, a philanthropist and a social activist, took it upon himself to contribute to the lives of the family members who were beyond themselves with grief. He extended a helping hand to the families by offering to sponsor the education of all the children of the 18 Uri martyrs through the PP Savani realty group, based in Gujarat.

The group has also offered accommodation to those students who wish to stay and study at the PP Savani International School. When Mahesh Savani saw an interview of a young girl, who had lost her father in the awful attacks, giving up on her dreams to study hard because of lack of means, he decided to reach out to her and many others like her. He is a prosperous businessman who deals in diamonds, realty and education but what sets him apart is his diligence and passion to help the ones in need. Apart from the generous gesture of helping out the kids of the martyrs in realising their dreams, he has been doing his bit since 2008 when he adopted 472 girls across Gujarat and bore the entire cost of their weddings.

Mahesh Savani is a hero in every sense of the word and his story of playing his part to the absolute best in making the world a better place is truly inspiring.
