India based zero-waste luxury brand that uses fish waste to create leather products

Solapur based Mayura Davda Shah has started a sustainable luxury brand that offers a solution. The luxury brand MAYU uses leather made out of fish waste to create bags and accessories. Their latest collection, La Movida, includes vegan leather made from upcycled pineapple leaves. Material innovation is one factor that differentiates MAYU from the others, they have currently worked with plant waste, fish skin, and pineapple leaves, and they plan to expand their horizons with unconventional materials.
