The Optimist Citizen

This bookshop in Delhi is trying to give new life to books and hundreds of underprivileged kids who are supported through the sale of the books

Nestled near the bylines of Lajpat Bhavan in Delhi is a bookshop to take notice of. Ornate with a plethora of books and fueled by a driving cause this charity based store run by Sisters of the People is a treat to the reading soul with books stacked and piled in every nook and corner of the space available. Every book sold at the store and every penny made is used to support the education of underprivileged from diverse communities – even books bought by customers are often donated back and find their way to these kids.
