Two Slum Kids from Kolkata who will be walking as Mascots of MAN U in Liverpool vs MAN U Match

For those who dream high and are determined to turn those dreams into a reality, barriers like Slums and non recognition are no hindrances. And it was the determination of 2 kids from the slums of Kolkata that got them noticed by the automobile giant Chevrolet and achieve their dream – Football.

Chevrolet has always been involved in numerous projects and initiatives to promote the welfare of our society’s dejected and deproved. During one such initiative which promotes slum soccer in the deprived areas of Kolkata, they found two of India’s hidden talents in the game Sharik (13) and Sonu (14). Chevrolet recognized their flair for the game even after financial hardships and have thus given them an opportunity where they are going to be featured today at the 10:30 pm IST Manchester United vs Liverpool match. Well don’t be surprised! Remember those kids who walk out with pride as mascots with the players? Well today, Chevrolet has given this opportunity to two of our stars, who will be seen leading the United team out along with 9 other children from other various countries.

We got to know about this wonderful news from Mr. Mamoon Akhtar, founder of Samaritan Help mission. Out of all the positivity this story brings, the greatest could well be said as the inspiration and hope it enlightens among our soccer dreaming youth.
