San Francisco based ‘United Religions Initiative’ is building the world’s largest interfaith peace network to combat religious hate and misinformation.

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in San Francisco, the United Religions Initiative is a global interfaith network that promotes peace and justice by engaging people at the grassroots level. While the prospect of establishing harmony between faiths may fall under the category of “easy to talk about, hard to do”, URI is slowly and successfully doing their bit. “We are not a religious organisation, we are an interfaith organisation.”, says Subhi, a regional director at URI India.
