It is true that in a country like India, a revolutionary change lies in the hands of the largest and most productive proportion of its population- the youth. To give a thrust to the youth towards a positive revolution, AIESEC, an international non-governmental , not-for-profit organisation that provides young people with leadership development and cross-cultural global internship and volunteer exchange programs, is organising a ‘Youth Speak Forum’ on 29th March 2016, Tuesday, at the Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal with an aim of empowering youngsters by instilling leadership in them which will ultimately guide them towards the path of change.
“A survey conducted across 15 educational institutions, encompassing hundreds of students, in Bhopal provided an insightful peek of the minds of the students and highlighted their views on issues like terrorism, reservation, etc. The Youth Speak Forum will hence comprise of interactive sessions with eminent speakers on these insights” says Aishwarya Dwivedi, Vice-President AIESEC – Bhopal.
The Chief Guest of the event will be Shri Anil Madhav Dave, a celebrated author and a Member of Parliament. The distinguished speakers who will share their insights includes, Ms. Sharbani Banerjee, Chief Editor of City Bhaskar, Bhopal, Ms. Avani Mishra, AIR – 1 in the CS examination 2015
,Mr. Nikhil Raj Sharma, a mountaineer and Executive VP, Travel & Licensing at Himalayan Geographic Traveller, Mr. Varun Bansal, CEO of Prabuddha Ventures, and Mr. Robin Jaktar, Radio jockey at Red FM
To promote the culture of entrepreneurship and start-ups amongst local youth, a special workshop will be conducted by Mr. Varun Bansal on ‘Entrepreneurship Development Skills’. The event will see the presence of more than 300 delegates and will begin at 1 p.m in the JLU auditorium.
AIESEC has been instrumental in providing youth a platform to thrive and excel in fields imperative for survival in the highly competitive world, both nationally and internationally. The ‘Youth Speak forum’ by the Bhopal chapter of AIESEC is another such well-intentioned event, similar to their international internship programmes, which will encourage youngsters to become active agents of social change.
